This fall, because of the impact we are having in our community, the leaders of our denomination asked if I would train other local pastors on creating a church that impacts and transforms its community. It was a great reminder for me of what we do and why we do it. This new year Sunday, I want to remind you, too, because it's true: there really is nothing like the local church when the local church is working right. Together, we are the hope of the world.
